Patch Notes

The Hexedit document Pop Gun 1.0 is a replacement for the Air-to-Air training mission, #6 in the Hawiian Theatre, F/A-18 Hornet 2.01. Open a copy of your data file with Hexedit (or similar) and find the beginning of the original Air-to-Air training mission. At around hex address 5A2C5F (this varies depending on the version of data file you have; it may be at 5A1182) you will see 00 01 02 03 E8. This is where we have defined the beginning of the code for training mission #6. The first object in the original mission is the FA18 at line 5A2DFB (or 5A131E). Switch to decimal addressing and check the address of the 00 in the 00 01 02 03 E8 sequence. This lies at 5950806 (5943930) in our data files.

Launch Jim Redcay's Hackout utility, and follow the instructions for inserting data. You are now ready to play Pop Gun!
