Episodes 3 and 2 were stupid (one had little CG fat things, the other some dumb Pompeii plot). Now, I like the tongue-in-cheek nature of Dr. Who, but it's best when there's some very dark and creepy evil sub-plot going on. Without that, it just becomes silly. David Tennant is aces though, as was Billie Piper, and Freema wha'everhernameis was good too. But... I'm sorry to hear it's getting worse. We're stuck in Season 2 of Torchwood too, which so far has been just bloody awful (not that Season 1 was much better). By 'crocs', do you mean the spectacularly ugly Canadian plastic sandals? I don't get them either. Hm, on this side of the pond we’re at about episode 4 of season 4 (the Ood one). Merlin... is that a recent one? Thing is, I like David Tennant, and I quite liked Billie Piper as Rose. Catherine Tate was becoming less annoying, then RTD had to go and ... whatever it was. It was gruesome. I really liked <em>Midnight</em> and <em>Blink</em>, but the rest was... meh. The 3-part season finale (although I haven't seen part 3 yet) would have made a tidy one-part episode.
